ARTIST BIO - Emerging Artist
Janet grew up in Point Pearce, a small Aboriginal community on the west coast of South Australia. Throughout her life, Janet had teachings from her father who taught her about her ancestors and family connections to the land she grew up on. As she grew up she lost her way until several years ago when she became fascinated by art and started painting on her own. Janet then started work at two schools and in that time she had the opportunity to run several art programs, from that point on Janet became passionate about painting and expressing her heritage through her paintings. Janet has had two successful exhibitions in 2017, and several of her paintings have won international awards.
Janet's lives and works in Adelaide.
